Songs From the Shadows

Join us for Songs from the Shadows, a benefit concert for Rahab’s Sisters! Local songwriters invited women from Rahab’s Sisters to bring their stories of being a woman in Portland out of the shadows and into the light. Stories of joy and sadness, trauma and resilience, hope and pain have been transformed into songs that will be shared underground in the Shanghai Tunnels, a place with a history of trafficking and violence. We invite community to come together and bring light into the darkest places of our city.

Featured musicians/songwriters include Josephine Antoinette, Joaquin Lopez and Amy Vanacore as Corazon de Lobo, Megan McGeorge, Kina Lyn Muir, Desmond Spann, Vince Meneses, Emilie Wright, Sarah Lopez, Ashley Lowery, Steve Aman, and Crystal Akins.

Portland Creative Arts Therapy Association Summer Workshop

In this workshop, participants will engage in the creative process to explore professional development at any stage of the journey. We'll move through our creative vision using art, tackle obstacles through dance and movement and explore support and resources using music.

We'll conclude with written reflection and a plan for moving forward. This workshop will be primarily experiential with some verbal discussion.

Come and join CATA as we broaden our creative community by helping you to rediscover and/or clarify your personal vision and by networking with other creative arts therapists.

$15 per person
Sorry, no CEs are available for this workshop.
Pre-register at CATAPDX.org or register in person at the door
